Tony and I met when we were juniors in high school. We both went on a Salesian Leadership Retreat in New York with our high schools. I actually met Tony after the retreat when our group of friends went to hang out at his house. I walked into his room and he had Lilo and Stitch and Disney everywhere, and I just knew we were meant to be friends. I came to Tony's house a lot, but mostly to hang out with his sister. Tony and I became quick friends. Tony and I bonded over music, TV shows, sports, and most importantly, Disney. I always liked to think that our friendship was forced because Fr. Abe always recruited us for retreats. The beautiful thing about that is that our friendship was built on faith, which was so important to us. People have always hinted that we should date, but we both kind of brushed it off. I'm sure there were times we thought about it! We both went off to LSU and after we both graduated, Tony got one degree smarter and came to his senses LOL! Our friendship and relationship has been so natural and easy with lots of laughter and silliness. Tony popped the question at the Aulani Disney Resort in Hawaii, and I had absolutely no idea! Hawaii is such a beautiful place and even more beautiful with the memory we made there. I know what you're thinking, "It's about dang time!" But hey, somethings are worth waiting for! We are so excited for our family and friends to celebrate with us!
