Let’s do this!

They met as one would expect any younger millennials would: online (Bumble to be exact). This was Megan’s first and last online date because of Thadd’s top tier choice to dine at The Bird in Mount Pleasant. The rest is history!

As the concert junkies they are, Thadd and Megan decided it was time to cross Red Rocks Amphitheater off their bucket list. Who better to see there than one of their favorite bands, Mt. Joy?! Tickets were purchased, rooms were booked and Thadd’s brother, Lane, decided to join the happy couple. Now you all should know well in advance that Thadd is not observant of Megan’s nails being bare; However, he made two subtle comments about her nails days leading up to this trip. Megan was very suspicious and had an inkling a proposal was near. It was bright and early on August 17th, 2023 and the trio loaded into the rental car to spend a day in Rocky Mountain National Park. A brisk mile-and-a-half hike led them to the crystal blue waters of Lake Haiyaha. After plopping down to catch their breath, Lane asked if Thadd and Megan wanted a picture together. This is where Thadd quickly got down on one knee, muttered “I love you. Will you marry me?” As fast as he went down, he got back up again and they both scoured the area to make sure no one saw. In typical Megan fashion, she said, “I knew this was about to happen!” Thadd took that as a yes!
