Taiji's POV The first time I heard of Megan, it was through my cousins on Easter Sunday. I still think that the main reason they set us up was because we are both half Asian. They showed me a picture of a teacher with the most amazing smile. After getting her number, they peer pressured me to at least take her out to grab a cup of coffee. After texting Megan for quite some time, my friend, Alex told me I should invite her out on the boat since she was at the lake with her friends. She declined because she didn't want to be trapped on a boat with a "crazy" person. I thought she was a little crazy because what girl doesn't want to go on a boat! Later that night, we decided to finally go out on our first date at a Mini Golf Pub and walk around downtown Bellingham getting to know each other. She beat me at mini golf or maybe I let her win. We will never know. Megan's POV Randomly, I got a message from one of my previous student's parents. I opened it up and to my surprise she was reaching out to set me up with her cousin! She sent me a photo of Taiji and my previous student together. He looked cute and friendly, so I said why not. She gave him my number and we started texting. We texted for a few weeks before he asked me out on a date. Then instead of asking me out on a date, just the two of us, he asks me to go on his friend's boat! Keep in mind, I haven't even met him in person yet. In my head I was thinking, "Absolutely not. I don't even know you and you want me to go out on a boat with you and your friends..." Later, we decided to go out to Flatstick which is a mini-golf pub. We had great conversation and I beat him at his own sport! The lesson is to take a chance and go on that date because you never know what might come out of it. In my case, a handsome, caring, and thoughtful soon to be husband!
