It was the heat of the 2020 Pandemic and I was determining where to attend grad school. I was accepted at Midwestern in Arizona, but was scared to move when the world seemed to be falling apart. So, I did what any single, 20 something girl would do in 2020...change my dating app to be in Arizona. Thanks to Hinge, Tee and I met. But I wasn't looking for a relationship, I was just looking for friends to help get me through grad school and get a feel for what Arizona was like. We had our first date/hangout (depends on who you ask), at West Gate eating food and chitchatting. Our friendship quickly turned to something else, even with my stubbornness to stay friends while I tried to pass my Neuro class. Tee would stay up with me studying, allow me to practice assessments on him, and fed me tacos while I survived the craziness of my graduate studies. Throughout this time, we fell in love. We went on trips together, tried a zillion different restaurants, watched a million soccer games, and never stopped loving one another. Our story isn't simple, but it is ours and just the beginning of forever.
