Things To Do

Because this is a destination wedding, many of you will be wondering what to do on your Michigan vacation. Thankfully there is an unlimited amount of things to do in the summer that we'd love to share with you! Enjoy the Michigan lifestyle: Barbeques, Boats, and Bonfires

Moomers Homemade Ice Cream

7263 North Long Lake Road, Traverse City, MI 49685
, (231) 941-4122

The best ice cream you'll ever have

Gaylord

Gaylord, MI 49735

This is the closest city to the venue. Visit Otsego Lake State Park, the Elk Park, or head into town to buy some fudge.

Central Park

159 N Main Street, Milford, MI 48381

Take a drive down Main Street and enjoy the boutiques along the way as you head to Central Park. The park contains basketball, beach volleyball, and tennis courts, baseball fields, as well as a scenic walk along the Huron River. There is an ampitheater with occasional performances, plenty of places to picnic, and a huge playground for children. This destination offers a chance see where Megan grew up and where many of her relatives still reside.

Lake Michigan

Check out one of the Five Great Lakes! The closest lakes are Michigan to the west and Huron to the northeast. Lake Erie can be reached more east of Detroit. Lake Superior is farther up in the Upper Peninsula and Lake Ontario is more toward New York. Don't let the names fool you, these lakes are as cold and seem as large as the ocean. The sand dunes around Lake Michigan are fun to explore. Try to find Petoskey stones!

Coopersville Old West Town

1860 Fire Tower Road, Lewiston, MI 49756
, 989-786-5765

Looks like a historic Western site to check out around the venue.

Sleeping Bear Dunes

MI 49636

A beautiful view of Lake Michigan, a picturesque walk along the boardwalk, or a wild ride on dune buggies! Fun for all ages and a trip to remember.

Mackinac Island

Mackinac Island, MI 49757

A must-see. Take a horse and carriage around the island, eat some handcrafted fudge, and watch the 4th of July Annual firework show!

For all the days along the way
