Washington DC has a variety of places to stay. The wedding ceremony will take place in Georgetown (Northwest DC).
We live in Navy Yard (Southeast DC) between Capitol Hill and Nationals Stadium. Nearby locations include The Wharf (Southwest DC) and Eastern Market/Barracks Row.
For families, Woodley Park/Cleveland Park/Adams Morgan is close to the National Zoo and Georgetown (not walking distance though).
Downtown DC grants closer access to the National Mall, museums, Chinatown, and Capital One Arena.
For those looking for a larger vacation rental home, Arlington, Alexandria, and Rosslyn in Virginia will have better rates than in DC proper with shorter drive times to the venue and activities. Springfield, Woodbridge, and Chantilly are 1-2 hour drives.
