Not sure how many of you know that Spencer and I were once stranded at sea aboard the Carnival Splendor. Back in 2011, our very first vacation together, we lost power after an engine fire, before making it to our first port. We ate spam, went without plumbing and electricity for 48 hours while at sea, had provisions dropped by military helicopters, and made headline news on the Today Show & CNN as we drifted out between US and Mexico water borders. I never wore one dress that I packed and could only shower with cold water in the dark. Yet, somehow, being together in these elements, we had a blast! Spencer and I have never laughed so hard or been more excited to devour burgers at In & Out once we were tugged to port, 5 days later.
