Megan and Sidney like to think that fate brought a girl from a small town in Maryland and a boy from Norway together at Give Kids the World Village in Orlando, Florida. Give Kids the World is a non-profit that Megan had returned as a volunteer to after graduating college, and Sidney had found during his Disney College Program. They both volunteer in the Character Program, and first met when Sidney was shadowing Megan in character in January (obviously the bunny head did not make an immediate impression, as neither remembered this until later). They went on their first date on Valentine's Day later that week, and the rest is history!
When Sidney's visa ended in June, neither was sure when they would be reunited - but they did know that they were determined to be together. Megan decided to make the trip to Stavanger, Norway in October for Sidney's birthday, and the pair went to visit Bergen (as Megan had not been there during her first trip to Norway in 2017). With the assistance of good friend Tord, Megan and Sidney visited Fløyen, a mountain with a stunning panoramic view of Bergen, at sunset. Pictured below is one of the incredible shots of their engagement, and the most that Megan has cried in a long time outside of dog movies and Disney parades.
As many may know, Megan and Sidney are very big fan's of TLC's show "90 Day Fiancé." What you may not know is that Sidney was able to permanently return to the United States as Megan's very own K-1 visa recipient, affectionately known as a 90 day fiancé. This gave the couple 90 days to legally wed upon Sidney's arrival into the U.S., which of course was further complicated by Covid-19. However, Megan has always dreamed of a fairy tale wedding, and insisted initially on more than 90 days to plan the day of their dreams. The couple decided early on that they would have a private ceremony within the 90 day window, and chose to celebrate with their friends and family in 2021 - why you are now on this website! Any wedding photos you have seen on social media are from this ceremony held at Megan's parents' house in Merritt Island, Florida on July 30 - which is also Megan's parents' own wedding anniversary.
