The city is just over an hour's drive away. If you have a car and some time, we definitely recommend going sightseeing. The Palace of Fine Arts is a beautiful spot to visit, and it's close to stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge from Crissy Field. Be sure to check out the Ferry Building on the weekends for an amazing farmers' market. You can also head over to the touristy areas like Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, and stop by Alcatraz (reservations required). San Francisco has so much to offer, and while it may seem small, there's a lot to see and do, so please plan accordingly.
A lovely, quaint little downtown area with amazing restaurants, shops, great views of the water, and lot of dogs to see! Benicia was the original capital of California. While only State Capital for 13 months, the original building is considered a State Park and you can take a self guided tour to learn the history. Also, check out One House Bakery, a family owned and operated bakery that has been well known for making amazing bread sculptures. A quick hour drive from Benicia, Napa Valley has beautiful sites to see! “Wine Country” has over 400 wineries and even a Wine Train! The Wine Train covers 36 miles, round trip, going to some of the best wineries around! Napa Valley is also home to 14 Michelin Guide recognized restaurants. More famously home to Thomas Keller’s 3 Michelin Star restaurant, The French Laundry (featured in Season 3 of the series “The Bear”).
