We’re getting married!

Megan and Sean have a long, winding story of how they ended up together - and it was really one of persistence (on Sean’s part). They first matched on the dating app Bumble, while Megan was traveling in Colorado for work at her first job out of college working for the jewelry company called Gorjana back in 2018. They chatted for a while on the app before agreeing to go out on a date. They set a day and time to meet, but for some reason neither of them remember on both sides, they ended up having to cancel the date. They connected on Instagram and there began the continued pursuit. Megan remembered telling her friends this guy is so nice but he lives in Colorado, nothing will ever happen. This thought was really intensified when Megan got laid off that jewelry job at Gorjana meaning that she wouldn’t be taking bi-monthly trips to Colorado anymore with the hopes of meeting up with this guy, Sean Wilson. Sean and Megan kept up with each other over the years via social media but eventually conversations dwindled and they both thought maybe that was the end of their story… but it wasn’t. This is actually the part of the story that we didn’t fully disclose to our parents (sorry mom and dad) but Sean and Megan’s first date was actually in Scottsdale, Arizona in June of 2020. How you may ask? Well Sean kicked his digital pursuit of Megan into high gear at the start of 2020. They ended up talking on the phone and having FaceTime dates where they’d talk about everything and anything. We all know what happened in 2020, which really just drew Sean and Megan closer. Since there was nothing to do but stay home and talk on the phone, Sean and Megan spent hours learning just about everything there was to know about each other, sometimes falling asleep on the phone, and talking about how they really should go on that first official date. Sean being the persistent and determined Aries he is, decided that he was going to come out to Arizona and take Megan on a proper date! He flew out to Arizona, they went to Blanco on their first date, spent the entire weekend together, knowing then that this was different from any other relationship either of them had ever experienced. Before Sean left that weekend, Megan had already bought a flight to visit Sean in Denver in July (that next month), where Sean then asked Megan to be his girlfriend outside of a bar/bowling alley that they basically had been the only ones patroning (COVID times). From there, they were flying back and forth from Denver to Scottsdale, Scottsdale to Denver, at least once every month. Since Megan worked remote for her job at Mindbody, she could go visit for 1 even 2 weeks at a time so in their 2 years of long distance they spent a lot of time together. They even checked the most important box of all - international travel! Megan took Sean with her to Greece on his first trip out of the country ever to celebrate one of her college friend’s weddings. You know what they say, if you can travel internationally together, you can pretty much do anything. Sean moved to Arizona to be with Megan in the summer of 2022 and they have built an amazing life together in Scottsdale. Oh I guess the engagement is an important part of the story too right? Well Sean had gotten the ring (without Megan’s knowledge) in August hand delivered by his brother Kris to their family vacation in Branson, and didn’t propose until New Year’s Eve in 2023. If that ring wasn’t burning a hole in that pocket.. Sean surprised Megan on a trip with some of their closest friends in Sedona that she had thought was just to ring in the new year, by dropping to a knee at Mariposa with stunning red rock views and asking Megan if she would marry him! She of course said yes and they spent the rest of 2023 celebrating with their friends at a dive bar in Sedona and ringing in the new year as an engaged couple!
