Question

Which airport do you recommend we fly into?

Answer

The Philadelphia International Airport is the closest major airport to the hotels, ceremony and reception. The airport is about a 45 minute drive from Downingtown, PA.

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes, we have hotel blocks at three hotels: The Desmond Hotel (Malvern), SpringHill Suites (Exton), and Hilton Garden Inn (Exton). SpringHill Suites and Hilton Garden Inn are located next to eachother. Please refer to the hotels listed on the “Travel” tab of our website for more information.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding day?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. We suggest gentlemen wear a suit or dress shirt with a tie and ladies wear a midi, ankle, or knee-length dress. No jeans please! Please keep in mind that the ceremony is inside the church, and the reception is primarily outside.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited. If you receive a plus one, their name will be included on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

How should I travel to and from wedding events?

Answer

You are welcome to drive to the ceremony. There is ample parking at Saint Joseph Parish. For the reception, transportation will be provided for those guests who wish to use it. Shuttles will travel from the Desmond Hotel and Hilton Garden Inn/SpringHill Suites to Springton Manor for the reception. Shuttles will be available at the end of the night to return guests to the Desmond and Hilton Garden Inn/SpringHill Suites. There is also a parking lot at Springton Manor for those who wish to drive to the reception themselves.

Shuttle pickup/departure times for reception:

Answer

Bus departure times from hotels to Springton Manor for the Reception are as follows: -5:15 pm departure from Desmond Hotel -5:25 pm departure from SpringHill Suites -5:35 pm departure from Hilton Garden Inn At the end of the night, buses will arrive at Springton Manor at 11 pm to pick up guests and return them to their hotels. There will also be an early shuttle at 9:30 pm.

Question

Is this an indoor or outdoor event?

Answer

The ceremony will take place inside Saint Joseph Parish. The reception will take place at The Manor House at Springton Manor Farm. Cocktail hour and dining will be held outside, under the Manor House tent.

Question

What should we do with the time between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Feel free to head back to your hotel to freshen up before the reception, or visit a location listed on the “Things to Do” page. Time flies when you’re having fun!
