This is a massive roastery in the heart of Seattle where they try new, fun flavors of coffee (ex: Gin & Tonic Coffee). They have a standard breakfast + coffee section, a coffee-forward bar and yummy lunch options. We recommend their cinnamon rolls, cornettos, and flatbreads.
This is one of the best views of downtown Seattle. It's more of a look-out spot rather than a park per se, but it's within 10 min of the market. Fun Fact: Meredith's house from Grey's Anatomy is a block away.
This is the famous fish market where they “throw” the salmon, sell incredible flower bouquets for $15, have the famous “gum wall”, sell souvenirs, have delicous food (see “Beecher’s Cheese”) and coffee spots (PSA: the very first starbucks is right across the street), and some favorite breweries on the water (check out “Old Stove Brewing”).
Pier 57 is on Elliot Bay downtown and is home to the Ferris Wheel, the Wings over Washington ride, souvenir shopping, and some favorite seafood/chowder spots, like The Crab Pot and Fisherman’s Restaurant.
This is a beautiful waterfall that is accessible via a 0.7 mile hike down to the base of the falls. It's a bit out of the city but totally worth it for the views!
It wouldn't feel right if we didn't include Megan's favorite Seattle-specialty, Din Tai Fung ("DTF"). This is a family-style, Michelin star, taiwanese restaurant with multiple locations in the city. The Pork Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings) are to die for and we highly recommend the Spicy Wontons, Spicy Noodles, Noodles in Kurobuta Pork, String Beans with Garlic, and Cucumber Salad. Pro tip: Make a reservation ahead of time, as it gets busy.
