What are entry requirements for the Dominican Republic?

The Ministry of Public Health has announced that as of October 18, 2021, all persons 12 years and older must provide evidence of vaccination or a negative PCR test to access public spaces, schools, businesses, restaurants, bars, gyms, public transport, and other public areas. As of January 31, 2022, evidence of vaccination will constitute of having had 3 doses in a vaccination series. More details may be found on the GoDominicanRepublic.com website and the Ministry of Public Health website. We recommend U.S. citizens carry digital or physical copies of their identification and either evidence of vaccination or evidence of their most recent negative PCR test to comply with this directive.

What should I bring?

Answer

Tip money- We usually get a bunch of dollar bills and then some larger bills. Tips are much appreciated by the staff and can get you preferred service. Large Tumblers for drinks. Wedding will not be on the beach, but a deck looking onto the beach. I typically pack swimsuit and coverup for the day and dress up at night. Only a few restaurants don't have a dress code. See FAQ below with more info.

Here are the new dinner dress codes and the restaurants which it applies to: Regular Casual Dinner For Ladies: Long pants, Capri pants, skirt, blouse, or dress. For Gentlemen: Shorts, Bermudas, Capri or long pants. Dress shirt, collarless shirt, or polo shirt. Casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn. Sleeveless t-shirts, tank tops, and beach sandals, or flip-flops are not allowed. Applies for: Brass, Duke’s, Insieme, Legends, Lizo, Melting Pot, Seaside, Shoji, Surf & Turf, Tinto & Tapas, and The Market Kitchen restaurants. Casual Elegance Dinner For Ladies: Long pants, Capri pants, skirt, and blouse, or dress. For Gentlemen: Long dress pants and a collared shirt. Casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn.
