Best Man
Andrew is my little brother by eighteen months. We’ve always been close as brothers, but it was during the time we lived together in Chicago that he became one of my best friends. We grew up cheering for each other at football games and swim meets, running from my mom when something went boom, and roaming the neighborhood looking for trouble (although we didn’t see it that way). Not much has changed in adult life. AC always wants to laugh, and you can’t help but laugh with him. If you see him at the wedding, I’m sure it won’t take you long to figure out why.
Matron of Honor
Heather and I met on our very first day of 6th grade. I did not know a single person in the room, and Heather sat down next to me, recognizing that I was also in her French class. I remember feeling so relieved that there was a person that I could talk to. Heather’s genuine kindness made her so comfortable to be around. It did not take long for our friendship to take off. When Heather and I are together, I am my true self. And even though she lives in Canada with her amazing husband Brendan and adorable puppy Wrigley, I have always felt that Heather is right beside me. She is such a loving, loyal, and supportive friend, and I know that I can turn to her, always.
Groomsman
Peter is the youngest Cobb brother. PC marches to the beat of his own drum, but is the most loyal person I know. I’ve always admired him for both those qualities. During my first year of law school I lived a home and PC was a senior in high school. We spent everyday together, hitting the gym before heading home to see who could eat more of mom’s home cooking. Sundays were spent a home yelling at the TV during Bears games. Those are some great memories. He’s got a personality everyone wants to be around. I didn’t choose him to be in my wedding just because he’s my brother, but because PC is truly one of my best friends.
Matron of Honor
Courtney is my oldest sister, but while many sisters spend their younger years fighting, that was never us. Courtney always made sure that I was included in all of the things that she was doing. With Courtney, I always had a playmate. She also took care of me. I have always felt that Courtney was like a second mother to me. Then, when I was 13, Courtney had her first child and I was able to grow up watching my big sister be a mom. Even at my young age, it was easy to see that Courtney was a natural! She is the perfect example of what it means to be patient, loving, and selfless. I am so lucky to have Courtney as a sister and a friend.
Groomsman
I met Brent during high school swim practice, and knew right away he was a guy I wanted to be around. We’ve been friends ever since, and he is the older brother I didn’t have. Brent is the most genuine guy I’ve ever met, and the friend I know I can turn to for anything. From fireside chats to mountain tops and everything in between, we’ve had more adventures than I can count. You’ll almost definitely meet Brent, because he’s going to corner you into posing for a photo. Even though he’s long since moved to Colorado, where he met his awesome wife Natalie and runs a small business, whenever we get together things pick up right where they left off.
Bridesmaid
Kimberly is my middle sister and one of my best friends. She and I shared a room growing up which made us very close. Kim was the best roommate because I always had someone to read me to sleep. She was also my go-to person when I needed help with homework. I have always admired Kim for her sharp intellect. When I was in middle school, she went away to Bradley University to study Industrial Engineering. Every year, Kim would invite me to siblings weekend, where I learned what campus life was like. Kim is living proof that work pays off. Not only is she amazing at her job, but she is also a phenomenal mother as well!
Groomsman
Greg and I met in Leiden, Netherlands where we were both studying abroad while at DePaul Law. We spent more time exploring the Netherlands than in the classroom, and made memories that we still laugh about today. Leiden was also where Greg fell in love with his wife Zeena, who Meg and I are also honored to have as part of our wedding day. While we were fast friends in Europe, it was in our post-grad years that Greg and I became close. The friendship’s been solidified over early morning pints of Guinness watching soccer at Cleo’s, and late night bowls of noodles in Chinatown. Greg’s enthusiasm and desire to seek out new experiences is infectious. He makes life fun, and I’m lucky to count him as a friend.
Bridesmaid
Dana and I have been friends since the 3rd Grade. She and I could spend hours reciting movie quotes or inside jokes back and forth to each other. Growing up, every one of our sleepovers would consist of having movie marathons - or putting one of our favorites on repeat. Dana is the funniest person I know. I can always count on her to make me laugh a little harder and smile until it hurts. She has that fun-loving, go-with-the-flow personality that makes every situation the best! It is very rare to find a friendship that lasts 22 years. Our relationship is something that I will treasure forever.
Groomsman
Jake is Megan’s only brother, and the closest in age to her of the four Feit siblings. As the protective older brother, I was apprehensive about how I was going to get on with Jake. Fortunately, I quickly realized that wasn’t going to be a problem. Jake’s sense of humor and positive attitude makes any situation better. We’ve had some great times over the years, and I look forward to many more. I’m blessed to already have two brothers, but am honored to soon have a third in Jake.
Bridesmaid
Eileen and I met when we were both sophomores in high school. We had biology together, and we bonded over being the older kids in the class. It didn’t take long for us to become friends. Eileen and I shared the same love for pop culture music and Target shopping trips. We also enjoyed frequenting the boy's water polo games to check out the team *cough Ron Cobb cough*. Eileen is the friend that keeps me on top of my game. I am horribly unorganized, and cannot plan a thing. Eileen is always two steps ahead of me, and that is why I NEED her in my life. I am so blessed to have a friend like Eileen.
Bridesmaid
Ana and I were introduced in middle school but became much closer in high school and college years. Our friendship has gotten even stronger as we have entered into adulthood. While Ana and I are both Aquariuses and have birthdays that are only a few days apart, we couldn’t be more different. Ana’s is full of adventure, and I like to play things safe. This is what makes our friendship so perfect. Not only is Ana full of life, but she is also full of love. She will do anything for her friends! Ana makes life so much fun, and I am so grateful for our friendship.
Bridesmaid
Megan and I were also introduced in middle school. In high school, we grew very close, and when we went to college, Meg was a friend that I had nearby. She was at U of I and I was at Eastern, only about 40 minutes away. As often as I could, I would catch a ride to U of I to visit her. During my visits, Meg would often take me to parties at her brother’s fraternity, where coincidentally, Ron was a member. Visits to see Meg also became casual run-ins with Ron. So, I think Meg gets some credit for Ron and I ending up together! Meg Con is the most selfless person that I know. Megan is always thinking of others and does everything she can to make people happy. Meg is my favorite Meg that isn’t me… and she is a great friend!
Ring Bearers
Griffin and Ben are my nephews and they are the two best friends that anyone could have. There is nothing they love more than running around like wild minions playing games and causing trouble. Griffin and Ben proved to be excellent ring bearers at Uncle Jake and Aunt Kate’s wedding. So, Ron and I knew we could trust them with carrying the rings on our big day too!
Junior Bridesmaids
Keegan and Madeline are my nieces, and they are two very important girls in my life. They are the daughters of my sisters, but sometimes I feel like we are sisters! When these two were born, I felt such a huge amount of love and excitement inside of me. I was finally able to be a “big sister” and teach them all the things that girls needed to know. Keegan and I enjoyed many sleepovers at the Herrmann House when I was home from breaks in college. Madeline and I spent most of our Summers together while I babysat her. Together, we have tons of fun memories in The Girls Club, and I am so excited to watch these girls grow into the beautiful (inside and out), smart, kind, and loving women that I know they will become!
Flower Girl
Emma is my niece and the youngest member of the bridal party. She will be 390 days old on the day of our wedding! On the day Emma was born, Ron and I were asked to be her Godparents. On the day we got engaged, we knew that Emma HAD to be our flower girl.
