Robby and I were both recently enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program(DEP) of the Marine Corps our senior year high school. Although I was through the Owensboro office, it was a substation of the Evansville office and therefore the two groups would regularly PT together. After my first Pool function, I had added several of the DEP members from Evansville on Facebook that I’d met that day. Robert was one I’d accepted as a friend but hadn’t met yet. I was looking for referrals to get promoted and had a posted a FaceTime screenshot with a kid from my high school bragging that he would be my referral. Cue Robby and his bragging about having enough referrals already on my post and me thinking, “Who is this guy?🙄” I messaged him that day with my usual sass and we met in person just days later at the next pool function, had our first date two days after that, and here we are!
