Chaffey's Locks Trails-Cataraqui Trail
Very accessible, bike or walk-able trail starting right in Chaffey's Lock/Elgin (near venue).
Rock Dunder Hiking Trail
Pretty lookout point in greater Kingston area. The Summit Loop is a ~4km climb which leads to a panoramic view of the Rideau Waterway - takes about 1.5 hours.
Frontenac Provincial Park
Provincial park about 45 minute drive from the venue - lots of pretty trails of varying length and difficulty. Very close to Megan's family home! Good opportunity to explore the fall colours.
Westport
Cute little town with some nice shops on Upper Rideau Lake, about 20 minutes from the venue.
The Haunted Walk of Kingston
Spooky stories and ghost tour of one of Canada's oldest cities.
Kingston Penitentiary
The Kingston Pen once housed some of Canada's most notorious criminals. Closed in 2012 and now open for tours - often led by former penitentiary guards and staff.
Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises
Boat tour of the Thousand Islands region - usually 1 - 3 hours.
