As a young girl who grew up watching Disney movies, Megan always hoped she would find true love at a beer garden in a mid-sized financial city in the greater Tri-State area. One summer evening in Stamford, Connecticut in 2013, Megan's wish came true when the man of her dreams rode into the Harbor Point Beer Garden on his stallion (okay fine, he was on crutches after tearing his ACL in a corporate soccer league). Megan gave Rick a ride home later that evening, they exchanged phone numbers, and the rest is history. The Harbor Point Beer Garden closed later that summer and Rick stopped playing soccer, but their love endures.

Megan fell in love with Disney World the first time she visited, and she never stopped. She has fond memories of visits with her family over the years (including her Disney-loving uncles, who she so wishes were here to celebrate with her). In May 2015, Megan took Rick on his first trip to Disney World in nearly 20 years to "teach him about the magic". In June 2016 while in California for a friend's wedding, they visited Disneyland together (and Megan set her personal record for Fitbit steps). When it came time to propose, Rick knew he only had one option. On Christmas Day 2016, Rick gave Megan a surprise trip to Disney World. They stayed at their favorite resort (the Animal Kingdom Lodge), ate at their favorite restaurant (Le Cellier) and Rick even remembered to book the FastPasses for their favorite rides. On December 28, Rick proposed to Megan during a visit with Mickie and Minnie. She said yes!! Don't forget to check out the photos!

Megan can't wait to cook for friends and family and host her annual Halloween party for another 50 years. Rick can't wait to play golf and coach little league. Megan has agreed to be patient through Rick's long hours during busy season. Rick has agreed to an annual trip to Disney World. Megan is looking forward to a life of forgetting how to operate a motor vehicle. Rick is looking forward to a life of forgetting how to operate a washing machine (okay, that has already happened). We are both looking forward to getting a dog. Most of all, we're looking forward to spending time with our awesome friends and family on June 16 and many other days thereafter!!
