Travel Note

General Information

We want to stress to our family and friends coming on the cruise that this is your vacation. Please book only if you dream of seeing Alaska in 2026. Think of it as your Alaskan cruise vacation, where you just so happen to also see us get married for a few hours on the 4th of July. After the wedding ceremony, you can see us as much or as little as you would like. There will be no additional planned required events, and you will be able to book your own shore excursions/attend your own cruise ship activities as you please. Phil and I plan on letting everyone know our planned daily activities in advance. If you would like to join us on shore excursion or at events on the ship, you are more than welcome, but if you would rather sleep in a lounge chair by the pool that works too!

Flight

Vancouver International Airport and Anchorage International Airport

Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is the closest airport to the cruise terminal and has direct flights from all of the major destinations our family and friends would be coming from. You will need to book a flight here one-way. The cruise leaves on July 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM. It is up to you if you would like to get to Vancouver the day before and spend the night. Phil and I will be getting to Vancouver on July 2nd, and will post hotel details when we have settled on them. From the airport, the cruise terminal is a 30 minute Uber ride away. For the return flight, you will need to book a second one-way flight from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC). The cruise finishes in Seward, Alaska at 6:00 AM. You will require a shuttle to the airport, as it is a 2.5 hour ride away. We will post more details on shuttle services as the cruise gets closer.

Cruise Information

We are getting married on the 7 Day Alaska Northbound Glacier Cruise with Celebrity Cruise lines. Celebrity Cruise Lines has many sales throughout the year. Additionally, if you check the price on their website and there is a better price than you originally booked, you can call their customer service number and they will price match for the better price. We are asking that everyone gets the Wifi package so we will be able to communicate when we are on board. Once you are in the open water there is often no cellphone service. There are many optional shore excursions that can be booked through both Celebrity Cruise Lines or through independent tour companies. Phil and I will be sharing our excursion reservations as the cruise gets closer. As previously mentioned, this is your vacation, please book the accommodations and activities that will bring you joy!
