In June of 2023 Megan set off to Nashville for a girls trip and Peter set off to Nashville for his best man Greg's bachelor trip, with neither of them knowing that they would meet their future husband/wife. It was at Miranda Lamberts bar on Broadway where Peter and Megan met. They soon made the connection that the town Megan worked in was also a town that Peter's friends enjoyed to ice fish at in Canada. They kept in touch throughout the trip enjoying the Nashville Broadway scene and good old country music. 2 months later Megan and her friends were heading to Minnesota for the State Fair. While she was back down south Peter invited her on their first official date to a Greta Van Fleet Concert in St Paul MN. They spent the weekend enjoying more live music, swimming at Lake Riley and going to Cowboy Jacks. Megan and Peter continued to keep in touch after she returned back to Winnipeg. In October of 2023 after Megan visited Peter at his parents lake house they decided to start dating long distance. Being able to see each other hasn't always been easy. They have had to count their days in each others countries as they are only allow to visit for 6 months out of a continuous year. The border crossings have caused some heartache as well. But while showing up for each other through the adversity, Peter and Megan's relationship has flourished into what it is today.
