Very simply, this is a wonderful place to visit. On a clear day you see all over Colorado. It's a beautiful drive and an easy way to see one of the 14ers. We suggest to visit early in the morning as limited parking fills up quickly.
This is one of our favorite hikes! The hike to St. Mary's Glacier is a short one and includes a beautiful lake that is fed by the glacier. Beautiful views! We recommend checking out the charming town of Idaho Springs on your way back.
Denver has a huge brunch scene and we think you folks should take full advantage! If you go during the weekend, prepare to be put on a waitlist.. we think its worth it! Here are some of our favorites to check out (in no particular order) - Table 6, Call, Snooze, Bacon Social House, Ophelia's, Rosenberg's Bagels, Sassafrass, Denver Biscuit Company, Port Side, Jelly Cafe, City O'city, Lola, The Stowaway & Onefold. We clearly love brunch.
The Rockies will be out of town this weekend but if you’re sticking around a couple days the Cubs will be in town 6/10-6/12. Day games are fun, but don't sit in the sun sections on the first base side. The rooftop has the best views and are fun, cheap seats!
Beer Beer Beer We love beer and there is no shortage of breweries in Denver. Some of our favorites are Black Shirt Brewing, Our Mutual Friend, Epic, 14er, 10 barrel, Wynkoop, Great Divide, Denver Beer Co, Ratio, O’Dell and Joyride!
This food hall sits right in the middle of the Rino neighborhood, and has a nice variety of stuff to choose from (pizza, sandwiches, seafood, sandwiches, and ice cream, to name a few), as well a full bar with plenty of seating. It’s a nice spot to grab a drink and snack and hang around for a bit during the day.
