It was a cool, fifty degree morning the day “PC” and I decided to meet in person. 10 outfit changes later, looking better than my casual sweats, I was a nervous excited wreck. Two weeks of talking had come to this. Thoughts racing, I finally pull into Old School Bagel’s parking lot. Checking the mirror one last time, I step out of the car and set my eyes on the one man that I know is my date. Stealing glances before he ever sees me, I admire his "Tulsa" uniform and how handsome he is. Making eye contact, I feel my heart beating through my ears. Do I hug him first? Do I give a full frontal or a side hug? Do I shake his hand? “Good lord, pull yourself together,” I tell myself. He silences my nerves as he leans in for a hug, answering my question as though I spoke the words aloud. As we nervously stand in line making small talk, I can't believe this is really happening. So far, I know he’s a “good guy.” No need to text my sister to call with a fake emergency! Sitting down over what I believe was the best coffee or maybe it was just the particular company that day, I never imagined the next two hours would be so fun! Sports talk came so easy and this man’s heart for the Lord was evident. Throw in morals and values with a little family talk and we just about covered it all. :) 5 minutes and I was hooked, 2 hours and I knew I wanted more. Now, 2 years later, Paul and I cannot wait to share our best day with our friends and family!! So come and make memories with us!
