That night began like most nights going out with friends. Megan was out celebrating her good friend/roommates birthday, Jess and Patrick was out with his friends celebrating a PSU football victory. They both ended up at their favorite bar, Jekyl and Hyde in the Southside of Pittsburgh. Megan approached Patrick after seeing his Penn State shirt. Little did she know that he was also a Philadelphia fan. Patrick asked for Megan’s number and they went on their first official date a few days later. They found that they liked a lot of the same places in Pittsburgh, had a love of sports and music, and enjoyed getting to know each other. They made their relationship official October 21, 2017!

Patrick and Megan had been discussing their future together after buying a house together. Patrick surprised Megan by hiding the ring under their Christmas tree and telling her there was another gift under there. He asked her to marry her prior to celebrating new years with friends. She said yes and they celebrated with friends that evening while welcoming the new year!
