We met at Oneida High School back in 2007! Patrick was a senior and Megan was a freshman. We met the way many did in our small school by socializing during after school period while waiting for sports practice to start. Over that year, our friendship grew. We spent time together walking home after school, dances, and sporting events.

Years later, Megan had just graduated from college and started working at a hospital near Philadelphia. Patrick was living in Boston at the time. One day, Patrick reached out via facebook to say hello and catch up. All of the fondness from when we were in high school rushed back and we never stopped talking. Shortly after, Megan moved to Boston to be close to Patrick and they started a new chapter together.

We were visiting Boston for the weekend. After arriving a little later than expected we checked into our hotel and then headed out to walk around the city and grab some dinner. While walking through the Boston Public Gardens, we stopped to admire one of our favorite spots by the swan pond. It was the spot we would go frequently after work when we lived there to have picnics and listen to street musicians. That night, it could not have been more special as Patrick got down on one knee!
