Megan and Laina have been inseparable besties since Laina moved to the Jackson area. The day they met, the bride was in no mood to entertain a new acquaintance. Laina left the show that night and told her husband that they would be going back to trivia next week because, “that girl is going to be my friend.” So many late night phone calls, vent sessions, cry sessions, adventures and obstacles- Laina is a rock that Megan frequently leans on. Megan is the Godmother to Laina’s son, Collier. If you are a Grey’s Anatomy fan, Megan knows you would understand when she says, “She’s my person.”
Caitlynn Coco
Best Woman
Patrick and Caitlynn met in 2007 at LSU. It was quickly apparent that their kindred spirits would blossom into a lifelong friendship. From late nights watching Buffy and eating Voodoo BBQ to Caitlynn becoming Patrick’s go to phone call for any and all life and relationship advice, their friendship has grown more comparable to siblings than best friends. Patrick served as the Man of Honor for Caitlynn in November and has immense gratitude that she has agreed to be by his side when he marries the love of his life. Thank you Caitlynn, for always being there.
Mallory Beard Carr

Megan’s truly longest best friend, her sister, Mallory. #1 since day 1. Mallory has been Megan’s mentor her entire life. As her big sister, Mallory taught Megan many important things about life. She taught her how to dance, how to shave her legs, that not all music is good music, to never wear a brown belt with black shoes, and ALWAYS, ALWAYS, check the chair before you sit in it. For all of you who adore Shitt’s Creek as much as the bride- Mallory will also be walking Megan down the aisle, arguably the most important part of the wedding!

Brother-in-law to the Bride and cousin to the Groom, Patrick as well as Megan are delighted to have Zach serve as groomsman in the wedding. Zach’s quick wit and positive personality are sure to bring some crazy good times to this groomsman tribe. Family by marriage, family by blood, Zach is the one in the group that has it all!

Lorena, who became a citizen of the United States on the brides 33rd birthday, is a close confidant of the bride. When Lorena moved to the Jackson area with her husband, she had no idea that she would be gaining such a special bond of friendship. The first time Megan met Lorena she couldn’t believe that such an adorable, kind, and funny person would even want to be friends with her. The chemistry of the friend group between the bride, Laina, and Lorena- which they have deemed themselves “the triangle”- is comparable to the Golden Girls. They laugh together, cry together, adventure together, and relentlessly roast each other when necessary. Thank you, Lorena, for being a friend.
Heather Johnson

Heather is pulling double duty as sister of the groom and bridesmaid! Heather also has the increased responsibility of having to live with the bride and groom while they navigate the stresses of planning the wedding. Heather and the bride have grown increasingly close over the past year and continue to build a strong relationship as future sisters.

Chasen Brown met the bride many, many years ago while she was hosting trivia at Buffalo Wild Wings. Just so happened he and his amazing partner, Will, were in the market for a roommate. The bride had been through many hardships and still to this day will tell anyone that she wouldn’t be the woman she is today without “her boys”. Megan lived with Chasen and Will for 3 years before leaving the nest to live with her forever love. Your best friends are the ones that you chose to be family, and to the bride- Chasen and Will are the family that she got to choose. Chasen will be coordinating the ceremony on the wedding day.
D’juan Young

The brides “brother from another”. D’Juan is a close friend of the bride and her family. In their many years of friendship, D’Juan has stayed a true and steadfast companion. His high energy spirit and his no nonsense attitude have always kept Megan rising above adversity even on her worst days. For years he has reminded her that, “better days are coming.” Well Mr. Young, better days are here! D’Juan will be honoring the bride and her family on the day of the wedding by escorting the bride’s mother down the aisle.
Collier Province
Ring Bearer
Collier is the Godson of the bride. The toughest kid you will ever meet. The bride has loved this little boy since the day she found out her best friend was pregnant. Collier hasn’t had it easy, with being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease and autism, but he reminds us every day of what you can accomplish if you don’t give up. Collier and his service dog, Daisy, will be in charge of ring security on Mae Mae’s big day. The bride and groom are so grateful to have their favorite little man help them out.
