Wedding Timeline

Answer

Catholic Nuptial mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 6:30 p.m. on 411 N. Rampart St. New Orleans, LA 70116. Eucharist will be offered. Weather permitting we will have a second line from the church to the reception. The wedding reception will be held indoors at the Omni Royal Orleans Grand Ballroom from 8:00-11:00 p.m.

Parking

Our Lady of Guadalupe has a free parking lot available for wedding guests on N. Rampart Street, diagonally across the church (411 N. Rampart St.) and directly across the police station (501 N. Rampart St.). Omni Royal Orleans offers parking for overnight guests. The parking garage is located inside the hotel property, with entrance on Chartres Street, halfway down the block between Conti and St. Louis Streets.

Second Line Procession

In a New Orleans wedding, a "second line" refers to a parade-like procession, typically featuring a brass band, that leads the wedding party and guests from the ceremony to the reception or another celebratory location. It's a lively and festive tradition, symbolizing the start of the couple's new life together. The "first line" includes the band and the wedding couple, while the "second line" consists of guests and anyone else who joins the celebration, dancing and enjoying the music. Our second line procession will consist of a 0.4 mile, 5 block distance & is optional.
