We met during the summer on lake 13. Megan's great aunt bought the place next door to Parker's grandparents. Every summer we would go to spend the holiday or even a weekend with the family and see each other. We enjoyed tubbing, swimming, and playing ghost in the graveyard with our siblings and Parker's cousins.

Megan was going to her sisters Katie's school homecoming. Katie and Parker arranged it so that as Megan was walking into the dance, Parker was at the doors waiting with a sign asking her to be his date. After a night of dancing and talking, everyone went to Culver's for some dessert.

While up at Lake 13 for the holidays enjoying a movie at the theatre, our families worked hard to prep things. They drew a heart in the sand on the beach and flower petals and candles to decorate it. When we returned, Parker led Megan down to the beach and proposed as the sun was setting on the lake.
