Is there a dress code?

Answer

We will be getting a bit fancy for the wedding! Attire is semi-formal for the ceremony, reception, and photos. For the rest of the weekend, feel free to come as you are, keep it comfy, casual, and cozy! It's sure to be cold in the mountains of Virginia, so please make sure you bundle up. We might even get a snow day!

Where are we staying?

Answer

We have all 10 rooms of the gorgeous historic Litz Mansion rented for the whole weekend. We will be in touch to let you know your room number. The mansion has plenty of private and community space to spread out, and each family will have their own room with their own privacy code on the door. Each floor/landing has a generously sized shared bathroom. There is a well appointed kitchen available to us (with 2 refrigerators! And 2 ovens!). The mansion is within walking distance of Main St. Tazewell, VA, which offers a cute coffee shop and a few restaurants & breweries.

What Can I Bring?

Answer

In lieu of a DJ, we'll be spinning our own vinyl all weekend! We're bringing a record player and our favorite records, and we would love for you to bring your favorites to play, too! We will be playing family games & activities, so please feel free to bring you favorites, too! Chess, poker, board games, tabletop games, puzzles, legos, etc are all welcome. We appreciate anything you can contribute to Friday dinner or Sunday brunch. Please see the FAQ's or check your email for links to sign up! Bring some warm clothes, we'll be enjoying hot cocoa & s'mores by the firepit (or bourbon & cigars if that's more your flavor!). If it snows, the front yard has some great hills!
