Question

What are my travel options from the airport to the hotel/back while I am in town

Answer

Please see the transportation tab for a detailed list

Question

What airport should I fly into, and how far is the airport from the venue/hotels close to the venue?

Answer

The closest major airport is Denver International Airport, from here Estes Park is about 1.5 hours away, depending on traffic and weather

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

Please see the hotel tab on our site where we have recommended hotels and lodging options. Estes Park fills up quickly—especially during peak season—so we encourage booking early.

Question

When should we arrive into town?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least one to two days before the wedding to allow time for travel delays and to enjoy Estes Park! We may be having welcome events as well a day or so before the wedding and would love to have you all be a part! There will also be plenty to explore!

Question

Where is the wedding/reception taking place?

Answer

Our wedding will be held in Estes Park, Colorado, a beautiful mountain town at the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. Exact venue details, addresses, and maps can be found on the Schedule page of our website.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Mountain weather can be unpredictable! Even in warmer months, mornings and evenings can be cool. We recommend: A light jacket or wrap for the evening We’ll keep guests updated if any weather-related plans change.

Question

Will parts of the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the cocktail hour may be outside on the outdoor terrace.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration.

Question

What should I know about altitude?

Answer

Estes Park sits at 7,500 feet above sea level. If you’re not used to higher elevations: Drink plenty of water Limit alcohol your first day Take breaks as needed And lastly, welcome to the Rockies, where the views are high and your tolerance might not be! Fun (and very real) tip from the bride: I once insisted altitude sickness “wasn’t a real thing”… and promptly passed out in a hallway. Learn from my mistakes. Hydrate. Pace yourself. We want everyone upright and celebrating for as long as possible. 😉
