What date is this wedding again?

Answer

Sunday, August 31, 2025 (labor day weekend).

What's the time-frame for the wedding?

Answer

Our ceremony starts promptly at 6:15 pm. We'll then gather at the cocktail hour, and finally a reception with dinner, dancing, and dessert until 12 midnight.

Are both the ceremony and the reception taking place at the same venue?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony and the reception will both be held at the Westwood (438 North Ave, Garwood, NJ 07027).

Is there a time gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Nope! The ceremony will flow right into the cocktail hour, which will flow right into the reception.

Is it an indoor or outdoor wedding?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony and reception will both take place indoors. The venue is a classic event hall. It is air-conditioned, and bathrooms are easily accessible. If you are in the wedding party, we'll be doing outdoor photos at approximately 4 pm in a park nearby. If the weather is too wet or stormy, then we'll be doing those photos inside or around the venue instead.

I'm driving. What time should I arrive to the venue?

Answer

We recommend 6 PM. We'll be starting the ceremony at 6:15 PM. The venue has a parking lot.

I'm driving. What's the parking situation at the Westwood?

Answer

The Westwood in Garwood, NJ has two large, wheelchair-accessible parking lots on either side of the building. I do not think these parking lots will be completely filled. But just in case, street parking is available and free on Sundays.

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes, we have a block of rooms reserved at the Holiday Inn Clark-Newark. The booking link is here (copy and paste): bit.ly/40ml75y . However, as of Aug 23, these rooms may be fully booked. Call the hotel at 732-574-0100 and ask whether you may book a room in the Gaul-Wilson-Wedding block.

I'm staying at the hotel. How do I get to the venue?

Answer

We have secured a shuttle! HOTEL TO VENUE: Leaving from the Lobby Door of the Holiday Inn Clark-Newark First trip available for boarding at: 5:30 PM Final trip: No later than 6:00 PM Ceremony Begins At: 6:15 PM VENUE TO HOTEL: First trip available for boarding: 11:30 PM Final trip: 12 midnight

I'm staying at the hotel. What's the info I need to know?

Answer

Check-in & Check-out Check-in: From 3:00 PM. Check-out: By 11:00 AM. Luggage storage and late check-in (after the wedding) is available. Simply ask at the front desk. Required at Check-in: Guests must present a photo ID and a credit card. Pet Policy Only service animals are permitted on the property; pets are not allowed. Parking & Transportation Parking: Free self-parking is available for guests. Shuttle: Available to and from the wedding. Dining & Amenities On-site Restaurant: The hotel features an on-site restaurant, lounge, and bar. Breakfast: Breakfast should be included with your room, if you booked in the Gaul-Wilson Wedding block. Pool: A pool with an adjoining patio is available for guest use. Fitness Center: Guests have access to a fitness center. Other Information Location: The hotel is located in the business district of Clark, NJ. Cancellation: You may cancel your room with a refund before August 30. Late Check-out: A late check-out is available for an additional fee, subject to availability.

This particular event will be going late, so it's an Adults-Only affair!

I have a dietary restriction that I forgot to tell you about; what should I do?

Answer

Go ahead and text Megan (347-633-1731) or Matt (917-669-4829) to let us know! That way, we can ensure you are on the allergen/restriction list for the venue catering staff. Please do so as soon as you can.

Where should we send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift from the registry, our website should walk you through the process of sending it to our home. If you are sending something independently, you can have it delivered to our home at 569 Pelton Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310. Additionally, a wedding card box will be at our reception.

Answer
