Mark and I both attended UPJ for the same major, and therefore were in a lot of the same classes. Mark sat behind me in our database management class, and I would always ask him about our homework assignments. The next semester, one of our professors put us together to work on a project and that is how Megan got Mark's phone number! Scorreee!

I had gotten a hold of two tickets to a Johnstown Symphony Orchestra concert and asked Mark if he would like to go with me. At that point, we had been talking in some of our classes and had started to talk outside of class too. We ate at Applebee's before the concert and the Kentucky Derby I believe was on TV so we also discussed how crazy some of the horse names were. I feel like we've watched the Kentucky Derby every year since then.

Early on a Saturday morning, May 20th 2017, to be exact, I hopped into the passenger seat of Mark's car as he drove us to an unknown location. As we drove, I kept trying to guess at where we were going with no success. At some point, we passed a Yogi Bear campground that got me pretty excited because I had no idea it was there. But that's not where we were going. We arrived at the Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater house (If you haven't heard of it, go look it up - it's pretty neat). We decided to do a grounds tour and do our own thing. On our way back on one particular trail, Mark started to slow down and the nerves kicked in for both of us. He got on one knee, on the muddy pathway, and popped the question :)
