Our story

Luke and Megan’s story began on the quiet streets of Farmington, where childhood friendships are forged with muddy sneakers and shared secrets. But life has its own rhythm, and after high school, they drifted. Megan headed to northern Minnesota for nursing school, while Luke settled to play football at Stout in Menominee, Wisconsin. Years passed. Life happened. Then in 2021, fate—disguised as their two best friends falling in love—brought them back into each other’s orbit. What began as casual hangouts turned into late-night phone calls, coffee-fueled road trips, and the kind of laughter only people with shared childhoods understand. It didn’t take long for something old to feel entirely new. By 2023, they packed up their separate lives and moved in together—back to Farmington, full circle—with their beloved rescue cat, Hank, who made himself right at home. On a warm spring day in May 2025, surrounded by blooming lilacs and the quiet hum of memories, Luke knelt in the garden behind his parents’ house—a garden lovingly kept in memory of his late grandma Shirley. He asked Megan to marry him, right where his roots ran deepest. She said yes. And somewhere, in the sun-dappled breeze, it felt like Shirley was smiling too. Their wedding isn’t just a celebration of love—it is a homecoming. A promise. A return.
