Our Story
You're probably wondering how we got here, huh?
Megan and Luis had crossed paths a few times before officially getting to know each other, but the moment that really sparked everything happened in February of 2022 when Luis realized Megan still didn’t remember his name — even after she had already given him her number. After jokingly calling her out with, “You don’t remember my name, do you?”, the two finally started talking for real… and the rest was history. That same night, Megan accidentally left her wallet in Luis’s car, which turned out to be the perfect excuse to reconnect. Taking full advantage of the opportunity, Luis planned their first official date: a movie night. Wanting to impress Megan, he asked what snacks she liked, and when she answered “sour candy,” he showed up with an entire assortment of five different kinds just to make sure he got it right. The two spent the night watching The Hills Have Eyes — not exactly the most romantic movie choice, but somehow the perfect beginning to their story.
Over the years
Megan and Luis have made countless memories together through every kind of adventure imaginable. From camping trips, vineyards, concerts, and raves to hiking, zip lining, snorkeling, and trying fancy restaurants, the two are always up for something fun. Whether they’re planning a big trip or just finding fun in everyday life, their favorite thing has always been experiencing it together.
The Proposal
When it came time to propose, Luis made sure it would be unforgettable. On a warm September day, he planned an intense hike leading to a breathtaking waterfall hidden at the end of the trail. By the time they finally reached the top, Megan was completely distracted taking pictures and videos of the scenery — totally unaware that Luis was secretly setting up his phone on a nearby tree trunk behind her to record the moment. After calling her name a few times, she finally turned around to find him down on one knee. Completely shocked and overwhelmed with emotion, Megan genuinely thought he was joking at first and even walked away for a second before realizing it was real. Once it finally sank in, of course, she said yes! Somehow, what felt like the longest, hottest hike on the way up turned into the quickest and happiest walk back down as the two soaked in the excitement of officially beginning their forever together.
The Wedding
