Sportsman Inn
The Sportsman Inn has been around Monticello since 1928. This historic restaurant is situated right next to Lake Freeman with an entire wall of windows to view the lake. They have delicious food with good prices. A fun fact they like to claim is that The Sportsman Inn housed Al Capone (yes, the Al Capone) back during his prime.
Hollow Acres Golf Center
Hollow Acres is a small golf center on the outskirts of Monticello that has a mini golf course. They also have a snack bar where you can get some ice cream to help beat the heat.
Altherr Nature Park
Recently built, this is a good place to walk some trails and see the nature of little ole Monticello, Indiana.
Cazadores Mexican Restaurant
My (Megan's) favorite place to get Mexican-American cuisine in Monticello.
Sycamore Drive In
A great place to get ice cream in town. You have a variety of flavors to choose from for ice cream and frozen custard.
Esmeralda's Pancake House
If you're looking for some breakfast, Esmeralda's is a good place to go.
Monticello City Pool
A great way to beat the summer heat is to spend time at the pool. Luckily, Monticello has it's own city pool that you can use at a fair price.
