Things To Do
The Salida and Buena Vista area are, in Megan's opinion, some of the prettiest areas of the state of Colorado. This area is also really significant to both Justin and Megan. Just up the road from the wedding venue is where Justin and Megan (and Natalie Reszka!) ended their first Colorado Trail trip (over 115 miles!). The Chalk Cliffs, where we ended the first backpacking trip, are a recommendation included below. Justin proposed to Megan on top of Mt. Yale, which is one of the Collegiate Peaks (a series of 14,000ft mountains in the area). Megan also grew up spending summers with her dad in Salida, exploring the surrounding nature and whitewater rafting.
