The next closest section of Charleston are Sullivans Island and Mount Pleasant. Downtown Charleston has several interesting options and the travel time to Isle of Palms is about 30 minutes.

This is just one of many hotel options near Isle of Palms, SC. Mount Pleasant is the town right next to IOP and Sullivan's Island. Many of the hotels in Mount Pleasant near Shem Creek or the IOP Connector are going to be a great option for your stay because you will be a 10-15 minute drive from the ceremony and reception. Mount Pleasant and Shem Creek are also about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Charleston for great restaurants, historic tours, and exploring all that Charleston's many peninsulas and island have to offer! Only a quick 30 minute drive to Isle Palms! Rental cars have been an issue in the U.S as many of you know or unfortunately may have experienced recently. We have found securing a specific car a few months in advance to be the best way to navigate the lack of car inventory most rental car companies are experiencing these days. Charleston does have Uber and Lift so that is also an options for those who do not want to deal with renting a car.

Depending on the time of day, Charlotte, NC is between a 2-3 hour drive from Charleston, SC. This can be an easy, less expensive flight option.

Columbia Metropolitan Airport
Columbia SC is only an hour and half from Charleston! This is a much smaller market airport but might have better flight or rental car options than Charleston.
