It's a tale as old as time...or at least as old as Tinder. Yup, we met on Tinder. Good ol' fashioned online dating. Our first date was at the Oak House in Newmarket, NH. We had sandwiches and beers and talked for hours (I think at one point Megan asked Joe "How am I doing so far?" which he says he thought was cute) and by the end of the night we had made plans to meet up later that week. And then three days after that. And then a few days after that. And then the following weekend. And the rest is history :)
The day started out as any other, with Megan working remote and Joe on temporary summer break before his co-op started. We went for a bike ride at lunch, and went up and down the trails along the Merrimack River. Later we decided to walk downtown and have dinner at Margarita's on the water, and then we ended the evening on a blanket in the park near our house. At a certain point in the evening (after Megan had been endlessly serenading Joe with love songs courtesy of Spotify) he turned to her and told her he no longer wanted her to be his girlfriend. He wanted her to be his wife. He asked, she accepted, he pulled the ring out of his fanny pack, and then the happy tears started. Best day ever!
