Our story goes all the way back to 7th grade on the school bus. Jordyn walked down the aisle, looked at Megan, and said, “Hi Megan.” She laughed and said hi back. That was the entire conversation, and then we didn’t talk again for a year. By 8th grade, we ended up hanging out in the same group of friends. We weren’t especially close, but we kept finding ourselves around each other. During 9th grade, life took us in different directions, but by the summer after, we were part of a friend group that hung out almost every day. Our first date was at Buffalo Wild Wings with two other couples. Jordyn managed to spill his whole soda across the table, and Megan still agreed to keep hanging out with him. On November 11, 2019, Jordyn officially asked Megan to be his girlfriend. The first attempt happened after making a TikTok, which Megan immediately rejected as unromantic. Jordyn tried again by getting down on one knee, holding her hand, and asking, “May I have the pleasure of being your boyfriend?” That's the version Megan said yes to. From there, we grew up side by side. We went to every homecoming and prom together, worked our first job together, spent every day together during COVID, and graduated high school together. After that, we moved in to an apartment with our best friend, then after the lease was up, back with Megan’s parents to save money, all while traveling to new places like the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, and Mexico. In 2024, Megan graduated from UNLV and took a new job in Bend, Oregon, while Jordyn stayed in Las Vegas to finish school. Long distance was the hardest thing we’ve ever done, but we made it work through constant FaceTimes, visits, and a lot of love. Before the move, Jordyn proposed during a quiet walk on the beach in Playa Del Carmen, which Megan said yes to...duh. After months apart, Megan moved back home in March 2025, and we celebrated with a trip to London. It felt like we had our time back, and it reminded us how much we missed being together every single day. Jordyn graduated that spring and wrapped up an internship, and with both of us finally in the same place again, we decided it was time to start planning the next step. The choice came down to a $777 Taco Bell wedding on the Strip or a beautiful venue in Temecula. As tempting as the Cinnabon wedding cake sounded, we went with the beautiful venue. Now we are getting ready to move into our next home and start this new chapter. From bus rides to high school crushes, from FaceTime calls apart to adventures across the globe, our story has been full of laughter, love, and more than a few spilled sodas. We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you and begin this next adventure as husband and wife.
