We're getting married!

We were introduced through mutual friends at our friend Cam's birthday at South Bowl in Philly in August 2022. Meg wasn't sure she wanted to go out that night, but was convinced to go since there would be a cute single guy named John there. We spent much of the night together, and when Meg was leaving, John asked for her number. On her way home, Meg called one of her best friends, Codi, to tell her... "I think I just met my husband". Shortly after meeting, we went on our first date at Milk Boy, and talked and laughed for hours until the lights came on and the bar closed. From there, we were pretty much inseparable, and we moved in together the following April. Fast forward one year to April 2024, our worlds were turned upside down when Meg was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, was admitted to the hospital, and had to immediately start chemotherapy. In the hospital room, John told Meg, "vows are in sickness and in health, and since I plan on taking them, why wouldn't we start now?" A few months later, Meg was asleep on the couch after a treatment day and John woke her up to surprised her with his mothers wedding ring as a sign of his love and commitment that we would be together forever.
