Maid of Honor
By the time the wedding rolls around, Emma and I would have ticked over 18 years of friendship. Some of my favourite memories are our time spent overseas together. We’ve shared corn chips and beer for a Christmas breakfast in Budapest and spent a week exploring Morocco. But more recently, since she has moved back to NZ, I’ve been lucky enough to watch her build a beautiful life back home with her husband. I’m so happy to have her by my side on our wedding day.
Best Man
I met Andy before I can remember. Our Mum's tell us it was in the hospital, but we were born two months apart so I'm not sure how that works! Andy & I grew up just around the corner from each other in Tauranga and we did everything together - if I wasn't home, it would have been a safe bet I was at Andy's. We went to the same schools together, played various different sports together, flatted together in Auckland, and were even lucky enough to do a bit of travelling around Europe together for the brief period where our OE's overlapped.

Brydie and I have had so many memorable moments it’s hard to pinpoint a favourite. We've lived together in Hamilton and then in London, we somehow managed to tee up living next door to each other. Whether it was planning big trips away or just picking up groceries on the weekend, every day the three of us spent over there together was a great day. Although Hamilton doesn't provide quite the same adventures as London, the fun absolutely hasn't stopped.
Groomsman
I first met Brad during my uni days, however our meeting was somewhat unique. We were both into gaming, and had played against each other, before joining the same team and playing together. I liken competitive gaming to sports - you spend a lot of time together practicing, competing, and just generally hanging out (albeit virtually). It was a few years of being mates before Brad & I had ever actually met in person. Since then, Brad & I have played together across various games, won tournaments, been mentioned on the news and even been in a magazine together.

Brette and I met in school and haven’t looked back since. Although we've both lived overseas for a time, our summer camping trips or to her family bach in Whitianga when we were younger are still some of the best holidays I can remember. Brette and I don't have to be doing anything in particular - but somehow we always manage to end up laughing to the point of tears. She’s one of the most generous people I know, plus she mixes a perfect G&T and makes a top-tier coffee.
Groomsman
I've known Dylan since year 3 in school, when he first moved to Tauranga, and we've been mates ever since. There was a brief moment in primary school where we had a falling out but his Dad dragged him around to my place and made us sort it out - for which I'm forever grateful he did! If you've read the blurb about Andy and I growing up, well Dylan slotted in perfectly as the third leg of our friendship tripod. We all lived about 10 minutes walk from each other growing up, so we'd rotate whose house we'd be at on the weekends, or we'd get together and play in the street. I was fortunate enough to be included in Dylan's wedding, and we were both included in Andy's, so I'm stoked that they can both be included in ours.

It’s not often you meet a friend as an adult and feel as though you’ve known them forever, but I am very lucky to have met Heidi at work a few years back and to say we were fast friends is an understatement. Although she’s recently moved down south, we’ve already clocked up a South Island road trip and always have flights booked in for the next catch up. Our wines over FaceTime are the highlight of my week and the wedding day wouldn't be complete without her.

I first met Josh at uni, in a 100 level economics class. We were put together for group work (unlucky for him) and then on the walk home found out that one of my mates from school was a mutual friend living in the halls with Josh. Since then, we've been neighbours, lived together in both NZ & London, we've worked together (I was even briefly his boss, sucker!), and we've done various trips together in Europe - including to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland Paris. Some of my favourite memories of Josh involving drinking, which sometimes end up with him passed out on the bathroom floor with a blanket - he doesn't do things by halves!

Demi has a sense of humour that rivals no other and I am forever grateful that we were assigned to the same team when we started a new job together soon after Uni. Josh (groomsman) was our trainer and I’m sure he thought recruitment was playing a joke landing the two of us together creating havoc. Seeing as Jeremy and I met at work, Demi regularly tries to take credit for us getting together, but I'm still waiting for the offer to pay for the wedding.

Matt & I first met while working at EQC. It was actually originally through Josh, but we soon found we had a lot of mutual friends. I later discovered that Matt had started playing for the same football club that I played for, so I filled in a few games for his team that year, before we joined the same team the following year. We've been in the same team ever since (with the exception of my London sabbatical). Matt is super easy going, and is one of the funniest people you'll meet - he loves a bit of banter and isn't afraid to make a fool of himself for a laugh.
