Question

When should we RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 24th so we can have an accurate headcount. We will be sad to have you miss our day, but, if we do not receive an RSVP by this date, then we may not be able to accommodate you :)

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. Please use our wedding as a fun date night!

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal attire. Women, break out long jumpsuits or dresses that are knee length or longer. Women, please do not wear white. Men, please wear suits or a nice sports coat and dress shoes (no jeans or hats please!). Please follow this dress code, you will be asked to leave if not.

Where should we park?

Answer

There is plenty of free parking near the entrance of the John Ball Zoo. The funicular will be running to bring people up to the venue. This is weather dependent, so, if unavailable, there will be black vans in the zoo parking lot to shuttle people to our beautiful venue. Please allow for extra time for this process, the funicular can hold 30 people at a time every 10 minutes, and the vans can carry 15-20 people every 15 minutes. :)

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Welcome to Michigan, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather in Grand Rapids should be beautiful, averaging 75-80 degrees, but will get chilly at night. Please bring some warm layers for the evening!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour are outdoors under an arbor, but our reception will be inside.
