We were both working at Target; Megan a cashier, James a sales associate in the electronics department. One day he came through her line to buy a fire extinguisher. During that sale he asked for her number. They went on their first date (a park picnic) one week later. They've been together ever since, the same can't be said for the fire extinguisher.

We traveled to Florida to visit his grandparents over his birthday weekend. The weekend was a fabulous trip with manatees, mangroves, and outdoor adventures. On the last day we were spending the evening by ourselves, walking down the boardwalk to the vacant beach. While enjoying the sunset, waves, and waterbirds he pulled out the ring (the one that was riding around in only a semi-secure pocket all day). She said yes and the rest is history!
