It all started on a hot June summer day in Caddot WI. Jake had been going to Country Fest for as long as he could remember and I had just been there a few times. With thousands of people I never would have thought that I would meet my future husband at a country music festival. Lets finish setting the scene. I was wearing a Batman jersey (don't ask me why I thought this was a cool idea…all I know is a bunch of us girls went to Walmart before and thought it would be funny to get these different jerseys to wear). We were all having fun listening to music when a cute guy walked by our campsite and started talking to our group. This cute guy proceeded to walk over to me and ask me "Can I be your Robin?" and from there the rest is history...well four almost 5 years later that is. While we spent the remainder of the festival together, I knew something was different about Jake. After Country Fest we lost touch and went on our way but I never seemed to shake that feeling and time spent together. It wasn't until February of the next year that we finally reconnected. Jake asked me to be his girlfriend only a couple months later. Trying to play hard to get I denied his request and said I had to think about it. It wasn't until a day later that I accepted his request to be his girlfriend on April 4th 2015. April 4th 2020 will mark not only 5 years of being together it will mark the rest of our lives.
