Colt State Park

A large 464 acre park in Bristol, RI. Whether you’re looking for a good walk, place for a picnic, or a spot to stare out at the ocean, this is the spot. The park has multiple walking trails, picnic tables, panoramic bay views, groomed lawns, and the Coggeshall Farm museum.

Blithewold Manor, Gardens & Arboretum

An estate located on 33 acres in Bristol RI. The estate boasts a large garden with rare plants and a mansion. Group tours are offered. Around $22 a person.

Herreshoff Marine Museum

Nice walking trail with a fun boardwalk and a small aquarium - great for kids!

Newport Mansions

Newport is a half hour away from Bristol! Plan a visit to the Newport Mansions! Guide-led and guide-less options at over 10 mansion locations throughout Newport. Some require payment for entry and some are free.

Cliff Walk – South End

3.5 mile public access walkway that boarders the shoreline. The first national recreation trail in New England. Beautiful views of some historical landmarks and some mansions!

Thames Street

Newports downtown area with a myriad of shops, restaurants, and bars.

Bellevue Avenue

Want to drive around the mansions but not interested in the tours? Bellevue Ave is the street and area to drive around to see the mansions from afar while driving through town.

Newport Visitor Information Center

Typical you can hop on a trolley here that will take your around Newport from downtown Thames street, to the mansion, the cliff walk and more! $2 a person but during certain summer months the hop on hop off trolley is supposedly free!
