We went to high school together but didn't know each other very well. It wasn't until my cousin Nolan, who did boy scouts with Ian, had his eagle scout ceremony that we reconnected (thanks Nolan!). We started dating in June 2020 (that was...something) and we'll be married a little more than 4 years later!

On the 3-year anniversary of our first date Ian and I had dinner reservations for 7:30 p.m. Candidly, I was already hangry, and then Ian suggested a WALK in the RAIN. *gasp* But when we got to the most picturesque part of the lake, Ian asked me to hold the umbrella and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. And after making absolutely certain that he was not pranking me, I said yes!
