Question

Altitude Awareness

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate our special day with you in the beautiful mountain town of Estes Park. As you prepare for your trip, we wanted to share a few tips about the high altitude to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Estes Park is located at an elevation of 7,522 feet above sea level. While this elevation offers breathtaking views and crisp mountain air, it can also affect your body in ways you might not expect if you're coming from lower altitudes. Tips for a Smooth Transition: Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before and during your stay to help your body adjust to the altitude. Take It Easy: Give yourself time to acclimate by avoiding strenuous activities for the first day or two. Denver is the mile high city at 5,280 feet in elevation. Taking a day to adjust in Denver before heading to the mountains can help. Limit Alcohol: Alcohol can dehydrate you and exacerbate altitude symptoms, so it’s best to enjoy it in moderation. Get Plenty of Rest: Make sure to get a good night’s sleep to help your body adjust. When to Seek Help: While most people adjust without any issues, if you experience severe symptoms like difficulty breathing, chest pain, or extreme dizziness, it’s important to seek medical attention. We can't wait to celebrate with you and want to make sure you have a fantastic and comfortable time. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us. See you in the mountains!

Question

Weather

Answer

As you prepare for the trip, we wanted to share some tips about the weather so you can pack accordingly. What to Expect: Daytime: In July, daytime temps usually range from the mid-70s to low 80s (°F). It’s generally sunny and warm during the day. Evenings: Nights can get cool, dropping to the 40s and 50s (°F). A light jacket or sweater will be perfect for the evening. Rain: We might get some brief afternoon thunderstorms. They don’t last long, but a rain jacket or umbrella could be handy. Packing Tips: Layers: Bring layers so you can adjust from warm days to cooler nights. Sun Protection: Don’t forget sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses – the sun is strong up here! Comfy Shoes: If you’re up for some exploring, comfy shoes are a must. Rain Gear: A light rain jacket or umbrella is good to have just in case. We hope this helps you get ready for an amazing time in Estes Park. We’re so excited to see you and celebrate together!
