This is where we met! Great, affordable drinks with a neighborhood feel.
Beautiful Nola sculpture garden in City Park.
Where the locals go for Cafe Du Monde beignets in City Park.
One of our favorite Nola restaurants. Make a reservation in advance.
Some of the best cocktails in New Orleans! Also a really nice stop during a walk around the French Quarter. Get the East Indian Daiquiri!
If you're going to get beignets in the Quarter, go here! Bigger beignets and waaaay less of a wait than at Cafe du Monde.
A lovely little park in the middle of the Lower Garden District. Usually lots of dogs :)
Exactly as it sounds - a bar where you can also get cake and cookies. They sell Doberge cake, which is a New Orleans delicacy with Hungarian roots. Shout-out to Arabella Matthews for introducing me to this deliciousness (and Megan, by proxy!).
Excellent brewery in our neighborhood! Also one of Rogi's favorites :)
A great store to visit if you're looking for a souvenir! They have cheeky t-shirts, postcards, and local books. There is also a location in the Lower Garden District and in the French Quarter.
Ask Bo Dean about this one. A family favorite for donuts and coffee.
Muriel's is one of the first restaurants that Hannah went to after coming to New Orleans for orientation before starting undergrad at Tulane. It's in a perfect spot for people-watching from the balcony tables, and the food is delicious. Great option for folks looking to eat classic New Orleans Creole food!
A classic for live jazz!!
One of our favorite breakfast spots. Megan says they have the best coffee in NOLA!
Best gelato in New Orleans, hands down. Hannah went to their original location on the day of their soft opening! Make sure to say hi to Ria - one of the super friendly owners :)
Our favorite happy hour!
Excellent beignets and drinks - and coffee!
Enjoy some shopping on Magazine by starting here at Feet First, a locally owned shoe store that we love. It's close to many other great stores on this stretch of Magazine. Tell them that you know Aunt Cindy - she's famous here!
You can hop on the Street Car and pay for a pass or download the RTAGoMobile app to board. Check out this video that describes the process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N39uecv2Q2w
