Meg and Greg first met briefly in the fall of 2009, as Meg helped her brother, Corey, move into his new dorm at the University of Pittsburgh. Greg was blown away by Meg at first sight, but they did not have the chance to officially meet. Flash forward two years later - now Meg was starting her freshman year at Pitt and Greg was determined to introduce himself. After her first night out, Corey was getting ready to walk her back to her dorm, and Greg, being the great friend that he is, offered to walk Meg home instead. Greg offered up his jacket, made a pit stop at Sorrento’s pizza, and a true South Oakland love story began.
On a sunny August day, Meg and Greg ventured out for the Pedal Pittsburgh bike ride. Little did Meg know, she had a big surprise waiting for her at the finish line. After 65 long miles, the two stopped for a quick photo on the Hot Metal Bridge as Meg turned around Greg was on one knee. The rest is history.
