Strip District Terminal
We like going to Penn Mac Co, Stamoolis, Grandpa Joe's candy shop, Mancini's Bread Co, La Prima Coffee, and other great shops along the strip. Saturdays are busy days, but also the most fun as vendors line the sidewalks. There are multiple Pittsburgh souvenir shops here too.
BB&Bur Pastry Kitchen and Bakery
This is the bakery that is making our wedding cake! They have amazing sweet treats and delicious coffee. Megan enjoys the peach melba macarons and Gina likes their maple pecan scones. For an even sweeter treat, try the fluffernutter blondie! Yum!
Latte Lane Coffee Co.
Our favorite coffee shop! This small business started out as a trailer coffee shop but is now a brick and mortar store! We love their specialty lattes, dirty sodas, and more!
Mellon Park
Where Megan proposed and engagement photos were taken. Beautiful park to stop and smell the roses, literally.
Everyday Noodles
Our favorite pork soup dumplings! This tiny but popular spot hand makes their own noodles in shop.
Oakmont Bakery
Desserts a-plenty! You can't go wrong with a desert from Oakmont. With deli-style ordering from their many display cases and to-go boxed treats, the options are endless.
Urban Jungle of Regent Square
If you have a plant addiction like Gina, visit the Urban Jungle! Great selection of plants that will make any plant lover happy. This non-profit shop is a beautiful blend of plants and art that gives back to the community.
Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
Pittsburgh's version of Longwood Gardens back home. While it is smaller, it is indeed a beautiful site to see. In September, they will be having their "Jungle Quest" exhibit which boasts "This spectacular show features room after room of carefully crafted topiary animals, beautiful blooms, lush greenery and exciting interactive features."
Carnegie Museum of Natural History and Art
The History Museum, Art Museum, and Science Center are great to check out. There is plenty to see and do.
