We’re getting married!

What’s there to say? Well for starters their names rhyme, and so it was in God’s divine design to have that be their first sign of true love until the end of time. Where their story begins so happens to be where we all find ourselves every day. Our phones often a tool for directions, contacts, selfies, and in this case finding our forever partner. We often mindlessly open and close apps, swiping left and right, up-and-down, all around our phone screens. But in this case, during the Fall of 2018, two individuals decided to consciously use one app that would lead them down the aisle this coming October 9th! A tired hard-working woman and her familiar coworker spend the day hiking in a forest with no cell reception, unbeknownst to the woman they’re being followed by a crippled man... the beginning of a horror story perhaps or the engagement story of yours truly! Megan and Emily had just spent the weekend working away, and Emily had offered the idea to unwind with some hiking down at Matthiessen State Park. Of course Megan accepted and off they went! She was unaware that Emily and Evan had teamed up for the surprise proposal. Unfortunately things didn't go as planned. Evan was just a few months out of his knee surgery, so navigating the wet rocks to get to the bottom of the waterfall would have been a slippery slope! He made his way back up the path to try to regain cell service and to devise a new plan. Meanwhile Megan and Emily were awaiting at the bottom of the waterfall. Emily, put in the most awkward situation ever, thought Evan had gotten cold feet. They waited around, calling Evan incognito but the lack of cell service made things a bit more complicated. After about 20 minutes of putzing around at the base of the waterfall, Emily decided the hike must go on with or without a ring on that finger! The two ladies made their way back up the path... that was when Megan spotted Evan... and the rest is history.
