Evan and I first met through our parents at Greenwood First Baptist Church. My parents joined a small group led by Evan’s amazing grandparents, Nonnie and Poppy, and wanted me to have a familiar face when I moved to Fayetteville. Six months later, I received a message from him! After a week of texting, we went on our first date. What was supposed to be an hour turned into seven because neither of us wanted to leave. We then saw each other almost daily, despite the hour-long distance. After just one week, we made it official on July 9th, 2023. On July 9th, 2024, he proposed! And now, almost a year after our engagement, we will say “I do!”.
